Dear readers of The Lowell,
We hope all seniors have had a successful college admissions experience, and more importantly have been taking care of their mental health.
Over the past month, we hosted pitching sessions for assistant editors, impressive and promising staff members who will take over the reigns when we graduate later this spring. Unsurprisingly, we have been thoroughly impressed and are more confident than ever in the future of our publication.
This issue, we decided to highlight efforts by Lowell students to advocate for issues they’re passionate about. We found it fascinating and eye-opening to learn more about the ways that student activists get involved in their communities, as well as the things that inspire them. One reporter shared her own experiences with advocacy and how it passes through generations in our column. We hope these stories draw awareness to the members of our school community that are tirelessly fighting for change.
We hope everyone has a successful and stress-free last few months of the semester, and that you enjoy this issue of The Lowell.
Editors-in-Chief,
Maren Brooks, Kai Lyddan, and Yue Yi Peng
