Resources at Lowell

Lowell is a huge school, and sometimes that can be overwhelming. Which printer do I use? Where can I go if I’m having a terrible day? Below are a few helpful resources that will make your school year run more smoothly:

The Wellness Center

The Wellness Center is in the hallway behind the main office.

If you’re looking for a quiet place to escape Lowell’s madness, the Wellness Center is a place for you. Its calm environment is the perfect place to curl up on a couch and have a cup of tea.

Do you want to go to therapy and you don’t have access to it outside of school? Go to the Wellness Center. The Wellness Center offers individual therapy sessions for those who need them. If you’re unsure about it, reach out to a counselor!

The Wellness Center also has perks, such as:

  • Tea and hot water
  • Comfy couches
  • Support groups such as group meditation, LGBTQ support groups,
  • Condoms and information about sexual health
  • Feminine hygiene products

The Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Room

Print for free in the JROTC room, it’s down the stairs from the art wing.

Are the exorbitant 10 cents to print a page in the library emptying your bank? Go to the JROTC room! They have a printer where you can print your essays for free. On top of that, they have the cheapest vending machine on campus; it is located outside the room.

Resources:

  • Free printing (with color too!)
  • Cheapest vending machine

The Library

The corner in the library right by the entrance is full of college prep resources.

The library has tons of amazing resources for Lowellites. It’s more than just a place where you can check out the latest mystery novel you want to read, it’s a place when students congregate to study and relax. Instead of dragging your laptop to school, you may simply use one of the many computers in the library. If you’re looking for a quiet place to study, utilize the Meyer Room.

Resources:

  • Chromebooks
  • Computer access
  • Quiet study room
  • Comfy couches
  • Magazines
  • Textbooks
  • Colored pencils
