The JV girls’ volleyball team took down the Galileo Lions 2–0 on Oct. 24. This win, along with their regular season record of 9–0, kept them in first place for the playoff game on Nov. 6.

The first set ended with a score of 25–9, and the Cardinals were able to carry the momentum from the first set into the second set, winning the set 25–13. Throughout the season, the girls formed a strong team. This helped them maintain their winning streak.

In the playoffs, the Cards competed against the Washington Eagles and won both sets, 25–18, 25–20. The team is up against the Balboa Buccaneers, who beat the Lincoln Mustangs in the playoffs, for the championship game at Kezar at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 9.
