    About the Writers
    Photo of Jaxi Cohen
    Jaxi Cohen, Photographer
Jaxi only got serious about photography a few years ago, but has been taking pictures since she was little, when she used a camera as a deflection technique against conversation at family and friend gatherings. Nowadays, Jaxi uses photography as a creative outlet, and she fills her free time with drawing, taking photos, and drinking iced tea.
    Photo of Tomi Osawa
    Tomi Osawa, Illustrator
Tomi’s currently a senior at Lowell. When she’s not drawing, she’s spending as much time as she can outside with her friends and family. She’s super excited to make her last year at Lowell really count, no matter how crazy and unconventional the circumstances.
    Photo of Kimi Norway
    Kimi Norway, Photographer
Kimi Norway is currently a Junior, and joined The Lowell Staff as a photographer in 2020. Kimi’s likes to photograph a wide variety of subjects, and is especially fond of black and white photographs. In addition to her love for photography, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exploring the city and playing competitive soccer.
    Photo of Mella Bettag
    Mella Bettag, Illustrator
Mella is a junior at Lowell High School. When she's not illustrating for the magazine, she can be found re-listening to This American Life podcasts, painting on her bedroom walls, and hanging out in parks with friends. Never offer her avocado toast, or anything with avocado for that matter.
    Photo of Bella Deloa
    Bella Deloa, Photographer
Hi, I’m Bella DeLoa. I am currently a junior at Lowell and a photographer for the Lowell. In my free time I love to read, wrestle, and garden.
    Photo of Nicole Wong
    Nicole Wong, Illustrator
Nicole Wong is a junior who should be doing her homework right now. She's an illustrator who can never think of what to draw, and in her free time, she watches youtube videos and plays video games about cowboys.
    Photo of Cliodhna Woods
    Cliodhna Woods, Photographer
My name is Cliodhna and I am a new photographer for journalism and very excited to get started! In my free time I like to go on hikes and drive around with friends.
    Photo of Elise Muchowski
    Elise Muchowski, Illustrator
Hi I'm Elise and I'm a sophomore. Outside of journalism, I'm in Hapa club and I like to cook pasta. Some fun facts about me: my favorite movie is Lost in Translation, my favorite animal is a cat and my favorite show is Bojack Horseman.
    Photo of Marlena Rohde
    Marlena Rohde, Photographer
Marlena is a sophomore at Lowell! She loves photography (obviously), snails, and fog.
    Photo of Denis Yabut
    Denis Yabut, Illustrator
I draw often in my free time. I love playing badminton especially with my friends, and I really like the beaches.
    Photo of Hayden Cheung
    Hayden Cheung, Photographer
Hayden is a senior who is madly in love with a blonde toaster. When he isn’t trying (and failing) to make his friends laugh, he can be found stuffing his hand into his 3 year old baby brother’s face. His favorite inspirational quote is, “It’s the only life ya got, so ya gotta live it Big Time.”
    Photo of Jennifer Wong
    Jennifer Wong, Illustrator
Jennifer is a senior who currently enjoys and drawing fan art and illustrating originals. On her free time, she gets obliterated by anime rhythm games as well as cry about art block. Despite procrastinating on her work, she occasionally has time to play cute cat games.
