FROM THE EDITOR: Online Issue

Dear readers of The Lowell,

This issue marks the first solely digital magazine for our publication. Since last month’s school closure, our staff has been working remotely to publish a fresh batch of stories without access to the necessary resources for producing print content.

In this April issue on our website, we strove to balance addressing COVID-19 and covering other important issues currently affecting our community. While our editorial proposes long-term remote learning solutions for the school district, the remainder of the magazine delves into topics of sustainable fashion, the price of menstrual products, and Lowell’s struggle with staff equity meetings.

During these unprecedented times, when the media is dominated by the latest updates on the virus and recession, we hope that this issue of The Lowell brings variety and a sense of familiarity to your news cycle. Our publication remains committed to reporting the most accurate version of the news and telling the stories of our community.

Editor-in-Chief,

Kate Green
