Senior Abdon Danting is a soloist in Lowell Theatre’s upcoming Spring Musical: Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. After watching Lowell Theatre’s production of Fiddler on the Roof  in the spring semester of 2017, Danting told himself, “Man I gotta do this before I graduate.” Danting describes the musical as “very dark and quite disturbing, there’s a good moral in it. [It] really tells you about how bad you can get when consumed by rage.” The first time Danting stepped on stage, he was quite nervous performing in front of a new group of people. Next to self expression, Danting’s favorite thing about theatre is the fun it allows him to have with the rest of the cast. Outside of theater, Danting likes to sing and he’s also a Raider Cadet for the JROTC here at Lowell. Danting’s goal for this production is to be the best he can be and help the musical be successful.
