Cross country team picks up individual medals at Golden Gate Park

The cross country team participated in the San Francisco Cross Country Invitational Meet on Sept. 10 at Golden Gate Park.

Starting off the day with the freshman boys’ race, freshman Zachary Parker placed first with a time of 12:27.7. In the sophomore boys’ race, sophomore Noah Battaglia finished second overall with a time of 11:40.9 followed by sophomore James Holcombe with 12:15.8. in third. Other medalists from Lowell include freshman Norton Choy, sophomore Charlotte Greenhill and seniors Sierra Brill and Mikolaj Krajewski.

The top 12 runners will be traveling to Portland, Oregon to compete in the Nike Pre-Nationals Cross Country Meet on Sept. 24. The rest of the team will be running in the Westmoor Invitationals in Daly City on Sept. 24.
